NOMAD CAMP JAPAN
Privacy policy
Nomad Camp Japan is designed as a public travel directory. It does not sell personal information.
Data used by the site
- Google Analytics is used to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and technical performance.
- Google sign-in is used only for features such as favorites and community submissions when enabled.
- Language and map preferences may be stored locally in the browser to improve usability.
Third-party services
- External source links, booking services, Google Maps links, and map tiles are governed by their own privacy policies.
- Advertising scripts are not served while the site is being remediated for policy review.
- Privacy or deletion requests can be sent to cizmo@cizmo.net.
Mobile app (iOS and Android)
- The Nomad Camp Japan app uses the same spot database and community service as this website.
- Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google or Apple (via Firebase Authentication), we store your account ID, display name, and profile photo URL. With Sign in with Apple you may hide your email address.
- If you use them, we store your favorites, visited spots (with the date and note you enter), traveler notes, and issue reports (your comment, an optional evidence link, and coordinates only if you add a new spot).
- Your precise location is used on your device to center the map and sort spots by distance. The app requests spots for the visible map area and does not store your location.
- The app does not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
- You can delete your account in the app (Settings, Delete account). This removes your profile, favorites, visited spots, and traveler notes; issue reports you submitted are kept without any link to you.
Delete your account
- In the Nomad Camp Japan app: open Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately.
- Without the app: email cizmo@cizmo.net from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
- Deleted immediately: your profile (display name and photo URL), favorites, visited spots with their dates and notes, and traveler notes. Your sign-in record in Firebase Authentication is removed within 30 days.
- Kept: issue reports you submitted, with your name and account link removed, because they document changes to public spot data. Server logs are removed within 30 days.
