A roadside station or public parking lot is not automatically a campground. Some locations tolerate short rest stops, while others clearly prohibit overnight stays or camping behavior.
Avoid putting tables, chairs, stoves, or awnings outside the vehicle unless the location explicitly allows it. Do not run engines for long periods, block truck spaces, or dispose of gray water outside designated facilities.
Paid RV parks and car-stay platforms are usually the safer choice when you need power, toilets, showers, garbage service, or a guaranteed overnight space.
